Alright, we are talking about off road trails near West Valley City, UT.  Last Warning, the off road trails mentioned are Jeep trails and 4x4 trails large/wide enough to fit a passenger vehicle - no ATVs or dirtbikes talked about here.  The first off road trail near West Valley City, Utah is Perry Canyon located 53 miles N of West Valley City for a drivetime of forty-nine minutes.  We dont have much information about Perry Canyon besides "easy trail, suggested lift 2 inch".  If you are head up this way I would also recommend checking out Millville Canyon - which other W2W members have said is another great trail unknown by most in Northern Utah, and lastly Providence Canyon - Providence Canyon Trail is a 6 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Providence, Utah that features a waterfall and is rated as moderate. Trail has been closed in the past so check with Ranger district to verify road is open. NOTE: Not for stock vehicles. You can see what other wheelers are saying about Perry, Millville, and Providence Canyons and other trails by visiting the Where2Wheel trails map here.

The next offroad trail near West Valley City, UT is Forest Lake Rd. located 45 miles SE of West Valley City for a drivetime of a little over an hour.  Forest Lake Rd. is an out and back trail. There is a creek crossing at the very beginning right off the main road. It typically has 8-12 in of water, nothing to worry about. Forest Lake is not much of a lake, but rather a medium pond. The views from the top are gorgeous. You can do this in a RZR easily or a slightly modified Jeep. It is mostly rocky cobblestones with a few boulders to climb over or go around.  Reminder, you can browse the offroad trails map anytime for free on Where2Wheel.  There is a good chance that since writing this article that new off road trails near West Valley City, UT have been added, so click here to view the W2W map and check the area for yourself.
