4.3LXJ Can you confirm that you can Add Trails now? We have tested the function about a dozen times. It works for everyone except on my wife's computer. Have no idea what the issue is there.

Also the W2W Map is undergoing some work right now and a lot of the Trail pictures and descriptions are missing. We are hoping to have all that data restored by Friday.

I had purchased a year's subscription to the Trail map but I no longer can access it. Selecting "Trails account" or "Map" from the Trails drop-down menu just brings me to the initial Sign-up page.

Where2Wheel I apologize Jocobsk! stand by, we are on it! 7 years ago

What is the size of the background photo? I uploaded our group photo and it's all "smooshed". There was no option to crop.

When adding trails to the map, do they await admin approval? I added two this evening and neither are showing up.

Hopkins Hey dlauw, I know the backgroud photo has to be less than 4mb. To crop the photo, just hit the "Reposition Cover" button in the top right of the banner photo and then click and drag the photo to move it to the desired "framing". 7 years ago

Hopkins dlauw As far as the map goes, no the trails are not admin approved. We were recently experiencing an issue where the trails are not saving. We thought we had the issue resolved, but I guess not. I am meeting with our web developer tomorrow morning and will make sure that fixing the "add trail" feature is top priority. Thanks for bringing that to my attention! I will message you as soon as we get that issue fixed. 7 years ago

Droid z or my Samsung tablet both use Google chrome. I can make new post but cannot reply or make comments to other post

Hopkins It is a known issue. The only browser that I have on my that I can post on the feed with is the HTC Internet Browser that came with the phone. We are working with an expert developer familiar with the code language that our social community is built on, but it a fairly complex issue. I am hoping the corporation that makes the social platform will release a patch to fix the issue, but until then we will continue on developing a fix of our own. 7 years ago

Hopkins My apologies for the inconvenience tho! The only solution I can offer for now is to try another web browser app.. For what it's worth, on my HTC Browser I use the "Enter" button on the keyboard to "post" the message rather than pressing the button. 7 years ago

What do you think of the new Server W2W is running on? Fast enough for everyone?

jacobsk Is the website on-prem at your offices or did you migrate to a cloud hosting service? 7 years ago

Where2Wheel While we'd love to be on a dedicated server, we just are not there yet, hopefully someday soon! Right now we are on a Cloud hosting service. 7 years ago

jacobsk Nothing wrong with cloud hosting. It definitely saves cost over maintaining your own hardware on-prem when you're starting out. My company recently migrated our Exchange email service from onsite servers to Office365 in Azure.

Keep up the good work! We should really have some kind of advertising campaign on other forums and communities to let them know about where2wheel.

4.3LXJ I got your message about Event creation. I just tested it sucessfully on a non-admin account. Have you tried testing in another web browser?

4.3LXJ No, I have not since I only use one. I will try again 8 years ago

The search function on the trails map "magnifying glass" doesn't really work as expected. I can search for any town name, state and while I would expect the map to zoom to that area, I get results for markers that can be thousands of miles away. It almost appears as though it's looking for markers with keywords in the title/description that are close to the search query instead of searching the location data.

Perhaps you could implement Google's own search API for location data?

Hopkins Thanks for pointing that out Jacob. Should be simple to use Google's search API. Our web developer is actually in the process of a rebuild of the map. Apparently the first build didn't leave much room for expandability of features to be built into and integrated with the map. I will add remodeling the search feature to the rebuild list. Thanks for the feedback! 8 years ago
