Baltimore Lake Trail
Baltimore Jeep Road (0843-018), south of Meadow Lake, Tahoe National Forest, CA
About this trail
Baltimore Lake's motorized approach follows Baltimore Jeep Road south of Meadow Lake through rocky Sierra forest. Uneven dirt, exposed rock and obstacles call for suitable clearance and careful route selection. The pin marks the northern end of Forest Service road 0843-018. Stay on that designated road; adjoining paths beyond the motorized route are not assumed open to vehicles. Approach Meadow Lake from Highway 89 via Forest Roads 7 and 86, following current maps and signs. Check seasonal restrictions, fire notices and road conditions before leaving pavement. Nearby Fordyce dam work affects southern access roads, so do not treat them as an alternate exit. This is a community trail guide with a historical source photo, not a current condition report or downloadable route.
