About this trail
Copper Basin Dunes offers sandy riding and varied desert terrain within the Parker Strip Recreation Area. The developed staging area is on the California side of the Colorado River, along Parker Dam Road. Vehicles must meet current road-registration or OHV-decal requirements; check BLM guidance for your vehicle. This is a day-use area, with no on-site drinking water or toilets. Bring water and prepare for heat. Oversized vehicles and vehicles towing trailers cannot cross Parker Dam; use the bridge at Parker and follow agency directions instead.
