Craycroft Ridge OHV Trail
Trail 11E18 at Craycroft Road (0514-008), Tahoe National Forest, near Downieville, CA
About this trail
Craycroft Ridge's designated OHV trail runs north from Craycroft Road through forested mountain terrain above the Downieville area. The pin marks the southern end of trail 11E18 at Forest Road 0514-008. Vehicle permissions change along this trail: the lower section is designated for all vehicle types, while the northern continuation is motorcycle-only. Drivers of Jeeps, trucks, ATVs and side-by-sides must turn back before that narrower section. Use the current Forest Service motor-vehicle map to identify the boundary and any connecting routes. Normal seasonal use is April 1 through December 31, subject to current orders, snow and ground conditions. The original gallery image is a historical topographic map, not a trail-condition photograph or a current navigation track.
