About this trail

This short 4x4 spur leaves Gold Lake Shore Trail for the forested shore of Damalusung Lake in the Lakes Basin area. The pin marks the junction of designated trail 12M01A with 12M01; reach it through the Gold Lake motorized trail network, not via neighboring hiking paths. Expect uneven ground and rocky sections, and bring a vehicle with suitable clearance and traction. The Forest Service motor-vehicle inventory designates this spur for motorized use, but snow, temporary restrictions and conditions on the approach can limit access. Follow posted signs, stay on the designated track and check current Plumas National Forest guidance before travelling. The two original lakeside photos are historical images. They do not establish current camping permission or campsite availability.
