About this trail
Former iron-mining terrain at the Iron Range recreation area in Gilbert provides rocky hills, wooded routes and designated scramble areas for off-highway vehicles. Trails span several difficulty levels. OHV registration is required, and camping is not allowed within the recreation area. Check Minnesota DNR's current hours, vehicle requirements and seasonal closures before travelling, including the November closure for rifle deer hunting. Use the operator's directions to the entrance on Enterprise Trail.
