About this trail

Lots A Lakes OHV Trail links forested ridges and the lakes-country trail network above Sierra City. The pin marks the southern end of designated trail 12E66 at Deer Lake Road. Expect uneven rock, narrow stretches and steeper sections; the route should not be treated as an easy drive for every vehicle. A capable high-clearance 4WD and experience with rocky terrain are advisable. The current Forest Service map designates this trail for seasonal motorized use, normally April 1 through December 31, subject to snow, gates and temporary restrictions. Check connecting-road vehicle requirements separately, and do not enter the nearby Pacific Crest Trail with a motor vehicle. The original forest-road photograph is retained as historical imagery, not evidence of current conditions. Use the official map to plan your route and exit options.
