Poison Spider Mesa Trail
Poison Spider Mesa Trailhead, Potash Road (UT-279), Moab, UT
About this trail
Poison Spider Mesa offers a technical 4×4 route above the Colorado River near Moab. Slickrock climbs, rock ledges, sandy sections and off-camber obstacles require careful line choice and suitable vehicle preparation. The loop connects with Golden Spike, but hiking paths to nearby arches and dinosaur tracks are separate from the motorized route. Stay on marked vehicle routes and protect the surrounding desert surfaces and cultural sites. Bring water and recovery equipment, and check current BLM conditions before setting out. The trailhead is day-use only, with no drinking water or overnight camping. Trailers must use designated pullouts or other approved staging areas, not the entrance road or parking lot.
