The Pumpkin Patch is a scenic stop in Ocotillo Wells SVRA, where rounded sandstone formations emerge from the desert floor. Vehicle travel in or around the fragile Pumpkin Patch is prohibited by the posted sign. California State Parks recommends high-clearance, four-wheel-drive vehicles or ATVs for reaching its remote destinations.
