About this trail
Sand Mountain rises above the desert southeast of Fallon, with open dunes and a designated OHV trail network. Ride only within authorized areas: routes outside the open dunes protect sensitive habitat, including the Sand Mountain blue butterfly. A BLM recreation pass is required.
