Sherman Pass 4x4 Trail
Sherman Pass Road at Trail 33E48, Sequoia National Forest, CA
About this trail
Sherman Pass 4x4 Trail climbs into the high country of Sequoia National Forest on a rocky route with steep grades, narrow sections and forest views. Follow designated Trail 33E48 and choose connecting routes that permit your vehicle. High clearance, four-wheel drive and experienced driving are important here; erosion, fallen trees and lingering snow can make conditions substantially harder. Do not assume a stock vehicle can clear every obstacle. Check the Forest Service motor-vehicle map, current closures and weather before travelling. The map pin marks the mapped western trail start off Sherman Pass Road, not a surveyed gate or a complete route track.
