Spencer Lakes OHV Trail
Trail 11E69 junction with Gold Valley OHV Trail (11E67), Tahoe National Forest, near Sierra City, CA
About this trail
Spencer Lakes OHV Trail is a short spur from the rugged Gold Valley trail network. The designated motor route, 11E69, ends before the lakes; the community source describes continuing on foot to reach the water. Do not drive beyond the mapped motorized endpoint or onto the Pacific Crest Trail. The pin marks the spur's junction with Gold Valley Trail, rather than a lakeshore parking area. Uneven ground and the demanding approach call for suitable clearance, traction and off-road driving experience. Motorized use is normally seasonal, April 1 through December 31, subject to snow and temporary restrictions. Check the current Forest Service map, road requirements and posted signs before visiting. The original topographic map is retained as historical imagery, not a current condition report or a downloadable route.
