St. Joe State Park

About this trail
St. Joe State Park near Park Hills has an off-road riding area on former mine tailings, with sandlike flats and a separate wooded trail network. Full-size four-wheel-drive vehicles and dune buggies are allowed only in the tailings area, not on the wooded trails. An ORV permit and the park's required safety equipment are necessary. Review the state park's lead-exposure advisory, especially when visiting with young children, and check current closures before travelling. Obtain permits and camping directly from Missouri State Parks.
