Mud season etiquette: when to stay home
Ruts made in March last until August. The honest rule for wet-ground riding and how operators make the call.
Wheel It Team

The hardest thing in this hobby is not the rock ledge. It is staying home when the ground is wet.
Why ruts matter
A rut cut in saturated clay does not heal. It hardens into a channel, the channel becomes a wash, and by summer the line is closed for repair. One wet weekend can cost a park a season.
The honest rule
If you are leaving ruts deeper than your tread, the ground is telling you to stop. Turn around, run the gravel, come back in a week.
How our operators call it
Every Wheel It park publishes its weather call 36 hours before a ride day, based on ground checks, not vibes. When a day is called, bookings roll forward automatically.
The land is the whole sport. Ride it like you want it there next year.
